I've compiled some of my translations relating to The Unknown's understanding of SizeSwapping, or as they call it "Aspect Keeping" \[`Error: Unknown File type`\] In Summary: There may have been more than the two different states present in humans. The text appears to allude to more differences than relative size, so this may be a more mythological representation of the sizeswapping system we're aware of. It's annoying how difficult it is to discern between Myth and fact in these translations, due to the fact that both seem to be treated with the same weight. Archivist's Note: It's strange, any documents with the language itself seem to corrupt themselves, so all we have is his summarization of the texts. Pinebed has been my dream ever since I was a kid. Back then, my parent's pressured me to pursue anything but my passions, and would often destroy my research notes and any books I brought home that weren't about managing land or accounting. My dream as a kid was "a big fort, where people didn't have to be afraid of their parents," but over time it grew into something so much more. Personal notes regarding the world event known as "The Plateu," "Equalibrium," Etc Timeline: 1937CE: The first World Census took place, recording a population of 1.6 Billion people. 1958CE: The World Census Organisation discovered a near complete stop of population growth since 1937. In 1960 the world dubbed this phenomenon as "The Great Plateau", Eventually, the world came to the decision to begin tracking the new era, known as the "Plateau Era / PE" Once research into current events failed to explain the phenomenon, people turned to the past to see if anything like this has occured before. This lead to plenty of research grants for people in my field of interest. Luckily interest stayed long enough for me to finish college and I was finally able to devote more of my time to it without having to worry about funding. Thank you so much for reading my silly little story, it means alot. I've been interested in Gt for as long as I remember, and I always wanted to create something about it. (Would have prefferred a webcomic or smth but I haven't had any success trying to draw.) (It was the only reason I liked the matchbox cars my dad got me as a toddler, lol.) I put alot of myself into this story and I hope you all have/are enjoying it.

Pinebed uses an application system when inviting new people to the town. To keep from being swamped in applications the only advertisement for the program is word of mouth. When someone is accepted, they are sent an offer to join the town for a short trial period, which they can extend freely as they become more acclimated to the environment. If, after at least one year of residence, they are found to be kind and trustworthy by the rest of the town, the existance of Pinebed's 'smaller side' is revealed to them. This is typically done in a safe, controlled environment for the protection of the smaller residents, but as of today (59PE) there have been zero incidents regarding those concerns. {link to: 'Index', label: 'Back'}

Sizeswapping, as we call it, refers to the act of changing one's size. The 'Swapper' changes state between their usual size, and the size not aligned with them, depending on if they were born small, or of 'usual' size. Those who possess a strong desire to experience the other size may unlock the ability to do so, though most people require a partner of the opposite size to 'trade' with. There are fewer people who can swap sizes on their own, but it is far from rare. Of those who can change their own size without a partner, all of them share the ability to 'trade' with others, though the trade still follows most of the same rules as trading itself. Here's a list of rules we have discovered regarding both forms of SizeSwapping: - If someone is inside a container when a swap would make them too big for it, they safely appear outside of it. - <del> the initiator falling asleep while under the effects of a trade will return both parties to their default size.<del> (This was recently discovered to be innacurrate, though there has only been one situation with this not being the case so far) - A person cannot be a part of more than one trade at a time. - Sizeswappers are able to initiate a trade with either size, as long as they are the opposite size at the time. - A trade can be 'forced,' but in that case the initiator would have to put intense mental strain on themself.
